ChewOnThis Welcomes You by Kiat Cormier

Strip T's (93 School St Watertown, MA 02472)

The beers on their list are interesting and I wish I could have tried each of them.I had the Milk Stout from Left Hand Brewing. Awesome. The other beer was from MA and had the word "fisherman" in the name. Also, awesome. The cauliflower appetizer was excellent and very reminiscent of Ssam Bar. The fried chicken was also great. (Really great, actually.) The burgers that were going out to the other tables definitely made me wish that I ordered a burger, too.

Meat Spot (28 Mt Auburn St Watertown, MA 02472)

Prosciutto lover -- prosciutto is cut so thin, it literally melts in your mouth. No joke! People throw that term around like it's nobody's business, but I'm dead serious. That sandwich was undoubtedly one of the greats in my life...Hot Pastrami Sandwich -- also very, very good. The boyfriend ate most of it, but of the bite I had, I can say pastrami is still the reigning champion of deli meats for me. Service is out of this world Fast easy and yummy

Eagle's Deli (1918 Beacon St Brighton, MA 02135)

Eagles is pretty good. nothing stellar or out of this world. If you're like most people, everyone has that "Diner" type place in their hometown that is a MUST VISIT sort of place when visiting home. Eagles can satisfy that urge when you aren't able to make it home. The burgers are good, not the best - but they WILL fry and egg on it for you which is A+ to me. Eagles is that place I will go to when I want to get fat!!

Summer Shack ( Boston MA)

Great seafood spot, with an unusually laid back atmosphere for this type of place in this town. Most seafood restaurants are snooty affairs, but the Summer Shack's butcher-paper tablecloths encourage you to eat with your hands. The oyster list is impressive, the traditional clambake is fantastic (hard-boiled egg, potato, sausage?), and the ever-changing specials can't be beat. Beer is the drink of choice here, which goes nicely with the fare. If you're looking for Masshole experience with a decently priced budget, check out the Summer Shack.

Captain Marden's Food Truck ( Wellesley Ma)

The lobster-mac-n-cheese doesn't try to hide the lobster's natural flavor, as some other trendy places might do. As a lobster fan, I loved this, bug if you want something that doesn't have too strong of a seafood flavor, get the regular mac.The fried platter was pretty good too! Granted, it's the normal fried platter you'd find elsewhere, but again the food wasn't greasy at all, and it was quite fresh, with some of the better fried scallops and shrimp I've had. If you have enough room left over, get a piece of pie! The lemon meringue is a perfect was to end the meal, and the lemon flavor almost accompanied the meal! All in all, if you see this truck PULL over and grab a bite!!

Country Kitchen (181 Sudbury Rd Concord, MA 01742)

If you're in the area and want a honest to goodness sandwich that tastes like your Mom made, check this place out. Their specialty is turkey sandwiches made with turkey breast they roast right there. I had a turkey club and it was great. The only knock is the bread, which isn't anything special (my wheat was a light wheat like you buy at a supermarket). But it tasted great and I'll go back again

Franco's Trattoria (365 Boston Post Rd Sudbury, MA 01776)

Terrific little place. Small unassuming shop in the local shopping center that has excellent homemade Italian food at great prices. The pizza is great and they offer a huge selection of everything from sandwiches to pasta entrees. they also sell beer and wine which is a plus. Very family friendly or for a quick dinner. Prob not best for a first date or if you are trying to impress. Go for the food and friendly staff though.

Only One Jamaican Restaurant (160 Norfolk St Dorchester Center, MA 02124)

Only One Jamaican Restaurant brings authentic caribbean jerk at it's finest. Although I could hardly hold back the tears between bites, the jerked chicken I got was simply fantastic. The staff behind the counter was both helpful and friendly. I don't know much about West Indian grub, but they helped me pick out the perfect selection. It was a bit on the spicy side for my taste, but if hot is your thing, this item will do the job. If you aren't, they have large selection of excellent, exotic dishes. Some of them include seared goat and kingfish. I'm definitely planning on going back in the near future

CK Shanghai (15 Washington St Wellesley Ma 02481)

Keep it real short..This is one of the best Chinese restaurants I eaten at. The Fried Calamari appetizer is out of this world. The Eggplant Pot w/Beef is a surprise. All of the dishes are fresh, original and worth the trip. The Garlic Lobster is beyond belief.

Allora Ristorante (139 Lakeside Ave Marlborough, MA 01752)

I've been here a few times now and have not been disappointed. The calamari appetizer is out of this world and highly recommended. It's not chewy like most places. I've also had Chicken Parmesan, Seafood Fra Diavolo & Baked Stuffed Lobster. The Lobster Macaroni and Cheese is absolutely delicious. I look forward to my next visit and trying something else. If you're looking for Italian and are in the area, Allora is a must.
